When Jan and Maria Kriska moved from Slovakia to the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina, they were concerned with one thing: creating a community around their small-batch craft beers and quality wines. Jan, the master brewer at Thirsty Souls Brewing, used to carry casks of beer and wine up the countryside in Slovakia (that’s him in our logo). Now he carries that same perseverance in brewing an ever-changing, eclectic selection of European-style beers, each one with a story. Maria’s wine connoisseurship also shines through in her curated selection of wines exhibiting distinct and nuanced flavor profiles.
